TPM 2.0 device detected but a connection cannot be established
On my Intel NUC 10i5FNH I always get the error “TPM 2.0 device detected but a connection cannot be established” in the GUI.
Also after disabling the TPM option in the BIOS, I still had this error message.

I found a solution based on the blog of virtuallyghetto.com: https://www.virtuallyghetto.com/2020/08/disabling-tpm-2-0-connection-cannot-be-established-message-in-esxi-for-intel-nuc-10.html
In the readme of the BIOS release notes from Intel, a bugfix was mentioned in version 0044 (fixed issue to disable TPM/PTT at BIOS level): https://downloadmirror.intel.com/30073/eng/FN_0047_ReleaseNotes.pdf
So after upgrading the BIOS and disabling TPM, I didn’t have any TPM error in the GUI anymore.
